Do not become a victim of popular ideas!
Most of what is popular is not good for us.
If you consume popular food, popular music, popular politics, popular reading, popular pastimes [tv /vid games], popular fears, popular religious concepts[one way],- you must be living in hell!

False prophecies are manipulated  by Leaders/prophets who are not in touch with Reality/God. They have their own agendas!
Who may even be "wolves in sheep's clothing!"

There are always some religious movements that will twist old warn out prophecies to support a claim of being the new messiah or the latest "word of some God". And of course the official 2nd coming
  - don't buy into all this popular stuff. It is for the "many."
It could be presented so shrewdly that it will fool even persons who are seemingly well educated. Great prophets do return to the sincere & advanced devotees as a personal vision or manifestation.

True Masters are "living Gurus" and are ever with us.
Prophets never return as in a 2nd public debut. Not one!
History for the last 5 thousand years is clear on this.

To be victimized by 2nd coming opportunistic claims is a great spiritual deception and a misreading of scriptures.

Have you noticed how every once and a while, some leader of a major church states or prophesy's erroneously that Jesus the Christ is returning publicly for a second public debut, and the time, and how it never happens? Why do they keep doing this? They just keep changing theories and finding new victims.
They have had egg on their face so often that they apologetically need to spin ever new theories to keep you interested in something that does not even exist! And will never happen.

Let us explore some of the reasons why, and what all of this talk about Jesus Second Coming really means. What is it that church leaders and others do not understand about Christ?

Maybe some do understand that He is not returning as they say, but it is still a great gimmick to attract followers!

He said He will return, no argument there. What I dispute here
is the kind of return history has shown will or does happen.

The First Spiritual leader Who Clearly Understands this issue;
Paramahansa Yogananda said
 "In titling this work,

"The Second Coming of Christ; Resurrecting the Christ within You."
"I am not referring to a literal return of Jesus to earth.
He came two thousand years ago and, after imparting a universal path to God's kingdom, was crucified and resurrected; his reappearance to the masses now is not necessary for the fulfillment of his teachings. What is necessary is for the cosmic wisdom and divine perception of Jesus to speak again through each one's own experience and understanding of the infinite Christ Consciousness that was incarnate in Jesus. That will be his true Second Coming."

SHORT LIST OF FALSE
PROPHECIES AND COMMENTS

Recent failed prophecies of the end times .....
Harold Camping & the Family Radio Network Ca USA

The evangelical radio network he founded 50 years ago spent more than $100 million in the last seven years publicizing the Rapture on May 21,2011, when the faithful would ascend to Heaven & everyone else spent five months in earthly chaos, the Oakland Trib  reported.

“We were mistaken in looking at it in a physical way when actually we should be looking at it in a spiritual way,” Camping said after nothing happened on May 21 2011.
“I wasted all my money because of you. I was putting all my money and my hopes on you,” -an angry caller to the station’s Open Forum told Camping.

-->1. Mormon Joseph Smith prophecy of Feb. 14, 1835, that Jesus' second would becoming  in about fifty-six years, or in 1891. It never happened, and never will!
The main evidence often presented consists of a reference to the sermon preached by Joseph Smith in 1835, as recorded in the 7 volume History of the Church by B. H. Roberts, and statements by three other prominent LDS church members.
Also, Mormons will sometimes present as evidence statements in blessings given to individuals that the one being blessed would claim to see the Lord, or statements that some of those present at a meeting, or of the rising present generation, would not taste death until after Christ comes. It did not happen!

NOTE; Some dispute whether this was a prophecy or a statement of belief. It does not matter too much as we will see going into the
second coming subject, the real problem is is that he clearly did not understand the basics/meanings of this important matter.
He merely used it as a carrot to gain  followers and power in a field where he had no authority and little understanding to promise anyone any kind of salvation.
Unfortunately he also made his flawed understanding of Jesus Second coming one of  the main foundations of the Mormon/LDS church. He even built a temple to receive Jesus on His return to what they imagined themselves to be, "  Gods only true church, or the restored church of Christ."

2...... -->
Second Coming failed predictions over 2k years.
Following facts gleaned from Religioustolerance dot org site.   If  anyone does not accept my usage of reference to Fair Use  of the material below please write me and I will adjust same at your request.

About 30CE: Interpreting the NT literally, appears to record various predictions by Jesus the Christ that God's Kingdom would arrive within a very near time, or was in the act of arriving. EG., Jesus is recorded as having said in Matthew 16:28: "...there shall be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom." In Matthew 24:34, Yeshua is recorded as saying: "...This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled."
About 60 CE:  Noting the Epistles of Paul of Tarsus , his writings seem to imply that Jesus would return and usher in a great Rapture during the lifetime of those persons who were living during the middle of the 1st century.
About 90 CE; Saint Clement 1st predicted that the worlds was about to end soon.
2nd Century CE; Prophets / Prophetesses of the Montanist movement predicted that Jesus would return  during their lifetimes and establish the New Jerusalem in the city of Pepuza in Asia Minor.
365 CE; Also Hilary of Poitiers, said the end would happen in that year. It never happens!
375 to 400 CE; Hilary student -Saint Martin of Tours,  also sure the end would happen  before 400 CE.
500 CE; A year of panic.  Hippolytus and an another Christian academic Sextus Julius Africanus also predicted Armageddon in approximately this same year.
1000-CE; Christians in Europe also predicted the end of the world on same date. When the date approached, Christian armies wage war against some Pagan countries in Northern Europe. The purpose was to convert many of them to Christianity by force if necessary , before Christ's return in the year 1000. During this period, various Christians gave  their total wealth to their Church during this fear of the worlds end. Because the level of literacy was  low  many citizens were unaware What year it was and thus were unafraid. The Violence settled down soon, similar as around  2000.
1033 CE  The 1000th anniversary of the death of Jesus. His second coming was anticipated by the many who only assumed they new the exact year of His death.
1147: Gerard of Poehlde decided that the millennium had actually started in 306 CE during Constantine's reign. Thus, the world end was expected in 1306 CE.
1205: Joachim of Fiore predicted in 1190 that the Antichrist was already in the world, and that King Richard of England would defeat him. The Millennium would then begin, sometime before 1205.
1284: Pope Innocent III calculated the date by adding 666 years founding of Islam
1496: This was about 1500 years after Jesus birth . Mystics in the 15th century predicted that the millennium  this very same year.
1524: Various astrologers predicted the actual end of the world due to a world wide flood. They probably haven't read the Genesis story of the rainbow.
1533: Melchior Hoffman predicted that Jesus' return would happen a millennium and a half after the nominal date of his execution, in 1533.
1669: Old Believers in Russia believed that the end of the world would occur in 1699. 20 thousand persons burned themselves to death between 1669 and 1690 to protect themselves from the Antichrist.
1689: Benjamin Keach, a 17th century Baptist, also predicted the end of the world for this year. this usually accompanies the idea of Jesus return.
1736: British theologian /mathematician William Whitson predicted a great flood similar to Noah's flood for Oct 13th  of 1736.
1792: the Shakers as well held that this was the year of doomsday.
1794: Charles Wesley, a founders of Methodism,  said Doomsday would occur in 1794.

1843-Mar-21st: William Miller, who founded of the Millerite movement, predicted that Jesus would return on this exact date. A very large number of Christians naively accepted this failed prophecy as a revelation.
1844 - The Bab and Bahaullah in Iran broke away from Islam to announce that he was none
other than some God's latest divine messenger and the second coming of Christ. They had a violent beginning in dealing with Moslems and their own succession conflicts. This was all time to correlate with Christian clergy biblical calculations of that era.
1844-Oct-22st: When Jesus didn't return, Miller prognosticated this new date. An event which is now called "The Great Disappointment," so many Christians sold their property and possessions, quit their jobs and prepared themselves for this second coming. Nothing happened; the day came and went without incident.

1850: Ellen White, founder of the Seventh day Adventist movement, also made many predictions about the end of the world. Alas all of them failed. On June of 1850 she prophesied that only a few months would bring the end. She wrote: "My accompanying angel said, 'Time is almost finished. Get ready, get ready, get ready.' ...now time is almost finished...and what we have been years learning, they will have to learn in a few months."
1856 (post): At Ellen White's last prophecy, she claimed that she was shown in a vision the fate of believers who attended the 1856 SDA conference. She wrote "I was shown the company present at the Conference. Said the angel: 'Some food for worms, some subjects of the seven last plagues, some will be alive and remain upon the earth to be translated at the coming of Jesus." 11 That is, some of the attendees would die of  diseases; some would die of plagues at those last days, yet others would still be alive when Jesus came. "By the early 1900's all those who attended the conference had passed away, leaving the Church with the dilemma of trying to figure out how to explain away such a prominent prophetic failure."  and so it goes!

1891 or before: On about Feb 14-184-?, Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church, attended a meeting of church leaders. (see notes above) He said that the meeting had been called because God had commanded it. He announced that Jesus would return within 56 years - i.e. before Feb 15,1891. (History of the Church 2:182)

1914 was one of the more popular estimates of the start of the war of Armageddon by the JW's (Watchtower Bible and Tract Society). They based their prophecy of 1914 from prophecy in the book of Daniel, 4th Chapter . The writings referred to "seven times". The WBTS interpreted each "time" as equal to 360 days, giving a total of 2520 days. This was further interpreted as representing 2520 years, they measured from the starting date of 607 BCE. Thus 1914 as the target date. When 1914 passed, they changed their predictions; So 1914 became the year that Jesus invisibly began his rule. Ha ha!

1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994, etc. were other dates that the WAtchtower Society (WTS) or its members predicted.
bullet
Since late in the 19th century, they had taught that the "battle of the Great Day of God Almighty" (called by Armageddon) would happen in 1914CE. Did it happen- NO!.
bullet
The next major estimate was 1925. Watchtower magazine announces: "The year 1925 is a date definitely and clearly marked in the Scriptures, even more clearly than that of 1914; but it would be presumptuous on the part of any faithful follower of the Lord to assume just what the Lord is going to do during that year."

The Watchtower Society selected 1975 as their next main date of prophecy.

What does all of this sad history tell us?

The clearest conclusion to me is that none of the above persons had a sufficient wisdom or understanding of these spiritual matters to really make any predictions about Jesus, nor did they have the faintest understanding of the meaning of His " return" !

However, we have many, many evidences/occurrences of the personal individually experienced return of Jesus by many great souls throughout history which does conform with what Jesus said about his return in the New Testament gospels. This is the way it happens and is in line with the teachings of the Gospels. This personal experiencing of Jesus return is all he ever meant to be.
Here are some quotes from John 14:21-23 " He that has my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loves me: and he that loves me shall be loved of my father, and I will love him and will manifest myself unto him. 22; Judas said unto Him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us and not unto the world?  23 ;If a man love me he will keep my words; and my father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him"

Regarding the popular concept of a public return;
Jesus made other comments as, "  if they say I am in the desert- go not after them, if they say here he is, do not believe them etc - for many will come in my name saying - I am He."     pp
Mark 13:6, 22,  Matt 24: 25 etc

This process of  a " cut -off"  or "  prophetic closure"   is an important and standard practice exercised by many great prophets throughout history for various reasons.
The main reason being that there are so many fake religious leaders/teachers and false prophets looking for power over the public with unbelievable deceptions just to inflate their egos and their bank accounts.
Jesus [and other great prophets] comments on "   closure"   although sounding exclusivistic, are not really so. As we have the evidence in world history of many true sons of God  who are truly valid paths to Salvation and God realization from all religions.
When you read in the gospel of John "   I am the way, the truth and the life"   you will not know what this means till you read several verses farther down!
Read verse #10 , only then will you have the proper context. Although the way the Master - Disciple relationship functions, it is true that once one makes that spiritual recognition/connection to ones Master, for those persons only is it true that there is only one way[just for them]!!!
Become your own missionary - Change yourself first !!!

For Billions of others, your personal path and your personal savior may be totally unnecessary for persons of other faiths. Other Persons have their own paths and divine saviors that will take them to Salvation/God-realization. Teachers of Self -Realization who may be far better in ways fully unknown to you and your local group. People who do not need your savior.

Unless you fully comprehend the system and functioning of that relationship[the Guru principle], you should be applying all of your energies not in converting others to your ignorance, but converting yourself to the path you have adopted. It will take you years to remove the "beam" of false programming from your own eyes. This will keep you busy for most of your life. You can't remove the speck from you brothers eye while you yourself are still blinded by a large chunk of wood in your own eye.

Joining a church [any church] does not save you, changing yourself and becoming like a spiritual master does save you!
Adopting a new path is just the beginning of your work, which should consist mainly of reprogramming your religious and cultural ignorance.....Unless those teachers you follow are god-realized, you are not being given true doctrines. Because they were also taught by the blind.....pp
"unless your wisdom is beyond that of your educated leaders
you will not find salvation in those blind beliefs."
"whatever is popular among men, is abomination in the sight of God " JC kjv  Are you a follower of popular concepts?

Paramahansa Yogananda, the founder of Self-Realization Fellowship , is a living prophet/savior who is clearly in the class of " God-Realized." He was one of very few persons in history to get this message of the second coming correct. While all those others who foolishly pretended they knew when the end times were coming with the return of  Jesus only ended up exposing their false and misguided quest for power.
This and many other facts shows us that Yogananda was truly one who has restored the true teachings of Jesus Christ.

Read "The Second Coming of Christ;Resurrecting the Christ Within You"  and discover for yourself the higher wisdom brought to the world by Jesus and Krishna.
If you will bear with me with an open mind, I will through the masters help and share with you this great alternative to popular dogmas about the real "  Christ Consciousness ".
SRF/YSS lineage has already produced a remarkable number of divinely realized souls.........................

What is Christ Consciousness?
It is not Psychic, it is not New Age, it is not Occult of Cultish.
This CC is the same "Kristos" spoken of by  Greeks, the "Kutustha "  spoken of by the Hindus in their Sanatana Dharma. Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Ram, Lahiri Mahasaya, Paramahansa Yogananda and many others were all Sons of God who are pure and full expressions of the universal principle of Cosmic[Christ] consciousness. They are known as Avatars and are greater than the saints. They all tell us about Karma and Reincarnation and the way to Self-Realization even before death.

All religious history clearly attests to this fact.
But unfortunately, if you are still among those who believe that the earth is only six thousand years old, or that the earth is flat, or that there is only one true church or faith, or that the scriptures as a means of human communication can only be read literally, it will be some time yet before you will be able to think outside of that box. In this world there are many roads that lead to Benares.
Because you are still afraid to go deeper than the surface you may still fear anything that you don't understand. If you can get past your fears, especially the fear of bring different then you will surely know truth and spiritual growth. Nothing keeps us far away from the truth as much as the desire to be accepted our peers - think about it!
Pass beyond that barrier "walk to the beat of your own drum "and  you will be on your way to really being born again!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
-->
This year [2010] was the 61th anniversary of the first Self-Realization Fellowship World Convocation, which was held by Paramahansaji in 1950 at the SRF Mother Center. Foreseeing the ever-increasing number of truth-seekers who would participate in this powerful spiritual event as the years passed, he predicted to those who were present at the first one:
"  They shall come from all parts of the world, thousands
and thousands of them, just as you have, for Self-Realization
is bringing the original Christianity of Christ and the
original Yoga of India's Krishna so that all people
of all religions can follow one highway to the Infinite."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

How do Church apologists deal with these myriad
false predictions about second comings?
Generally, they either create varied excuses why
things are different now,  or they devise entirely
new scenarios to support the same erroneous idea
that Jesus is going to return to save/reign the
world and say " their church" is the truest or all.
All to make a pretext of knowing what they do
not really know - for this is how they hold on to power
over your mind. unless and until you search for truth
independently and courageously there is little progress.
The major source and support for this endless
nonsense is the promotion of the idea that there is
only "one way" to salvation, and the idea that
belonging to the "right " church will save you.
Your first step to Self-Realization begins when
you escape from the "one way trap."

You see- great prophets never do return as we
knew them for second public debuts. If they did,

they would never use the exact same words.

Persons who purport themselves to be Christians
need a new and fresh perspective on what Jesus is
talking about, who He really is, as well as a little
better research on what the church has been
doing to them for the last two millennia.
Jesus makes a statement about the "few" who
find life and the "many" who go down the road
to destruction. Which are you?
There is a great difference between teachings
inspired by the holy Spirit and those dictums inspired
by well educated political interests.
The means to guarantee the most power over
the minds of others bound up in robotic communities.

It is time to take the politics out of religion, time to think
outside of the box and deprogram ourselves from the
false teachings handed down for ages by the hierarchy
of the churches clergy . Yogananda has shown us the way.
The greatest need today is to
experience more
 spiritual and less political/academic training.
It is a truism that in most major religions it has been
the hierarchy of the priesthoods that constitute the
main psychological mechanism which keeps the "many"
blindly indoctrinated with a specific brands of ignorance.
The types of teachings they attempt to support by involved
theological and intellectual arguments are not really
reliable scriptural wisdom. It is true that anyones interpretation
of scripture will essentially be subjective and strongly
influenced by all that institutional programming
that serves to guide and enslave the masses in its tenacious
programming. A programming that goes right to the DNA
of your brain cells[ that is why with utmost and misdirected
confidence you are still seeing your Holy Book through
dark glasses or with the huge beam of wood in your eye.]
The seeker of truth will have to apply himself to
seriously sort this all out and escape into wisdom.
 He/She must understand
how to become free of the constricting Matrix of institutional
programming that keeps us all blinded to reality.
Meditation is the proven way, with the help of a God realized

master is the true guide/teacher/Guru who seeks only your own
good is the one who can show you the way. It has
always been thus for endless millennia. The True
Guru is far more than an expert, He/ She is one with
Reality[the only true God] and knows how you
can achieve Self-Realization and Independence from
the ties of relativity and ignorance.
It all requires
Self effort, grace, and devotion.
The true Guru does not seek worship and adoration,
such a one only desires to help you attain real salvation.

It is written in the NT, that these popular teachings followed
by the masses [the "many"] don't lead us to salvation and life.
They lead to failure and destruction in endless circles.
To really know the teachings of that narrow way that leads
to truth [the knowledge of the "few"] one must be in touch
with the Holy Spirit, the truth within. For all that older
programming represents only a shallow depth of the
real knowledge of life. It was politically established to
keep everyone dependent on authorities that were not
in touch with God - the Reality. This is the plan and nature
of all monopolies.

It is only when we find and learn from those Great Ones
who have successfully sought and found God - Reality,
that we can be sure of our way. For such successful
souls have no desire for power and celebrity status.
They have no desires to control others for their own
security and egos. They have clearly passed beyond
these base instincts that the rest of us still  labour under.
They have replaced academic authority with the
real essence of Spiritual authority herein described
by Paramahansa Yoganada as follows;

"The only reliable standard of scriptural
interpretation is the testimony of actual
perception - to go into that state of
 consciousness in which the prophets
perceived the truths they expounded
and thereby witness the meaning they intended."

This is the quality of wisdom and spiritual
awareness, and inspiration in which
" The Second Coming
of Christ;
 Resurrecting the Christ Within You"
                                    was revealed and published .

More false prophecies in the recent news of 2011
First in May there was the defunct claim of the world ending,
having failed they restated it will be in the fall of 2011.
There is also a major claim being made about 2012
because of the ending of Mayan calender.  All the
scams in Southern France about secret doors to other
dimensions and the end of the world.
Just ignore it all!
